Little David is in the 5th grade. Yesterday morning when the teacher asked the children what their fathers did for a living, all the typical answers came up; fireman, policeman, salesman, etc. The teacher noticed that little David was being uncharacteristically quiet and so she asked him about his father. 'My father's an exotic dancer in a gay bar and takes off all his clothes in front of other men. Sometimes, if the offer's really good, he'll go out to the alley with some guy and do it with him for money.' The teacher, obviously shaken by this statement, hurriedly set the other children to work on some coloring, and took little David aside to ask him, 'Is that really true about your father?' 'No,' said David, 'He plays for the Lions, but I was too embarrassed to say that in front of the other kids.'

Poor Lions! They are off to a rough start. Hmm - is that a coincidence with your quote for the week?
Nope! But they sure had a good pre-season.
That's why I became a Colts fan! Cute dad. The whole office got a good laugh from this
"When the owner's son says he thinks you should be canned, you might want to pull out your suitcase. Bill Ford Jr. is no stranger to the media. He oversees one of the largest car companies in the world. When he wants to say something, he does. And his remarks Monday after the Lions' third straight loss were as subtle as a bowling ball rolling toward daisies. "It was an embarrassment," he said. "The fans deserve better. And if I had the authority, I would have fired the general manager." He said it to a small group of reporters, then repeated the idea minutes later to a larger group. This was no accident, folks. He knew Lions president and CEO Matt Millen would read it.
Detroit Free Press"
Even Ford Jr sees where the real problem is...maybe hope?!?!?! /sigh
Let's hope. But a writer in the Denver paper, doing his predictions for the Sunday games, picked the Lions to lose. Then he said (I'm paraphrasing) "Another loss, and Millen's buddy will probably give him a raise."
Check out my blog...I posted some GOOD news!!
