Just For Fun!

This posting is late. I had every intention of getting on my Soap Box again about the news media, politics, the economy, and the tragedies we hear about every day. 300 dead in an earthquake, 14 dead in a shooting rampage, a little girl found in a suitcase. We have people like Nancy Grace making whole careers bringing us stories every day about Casey Anthony, etc. Then I saw that 37,313 people lost their lives in traffic accidents in the US in 2008, WHERE is the OUTRAGE on THAT!

But then my son said I watch too much NEWS, he’s right! So we decided to continue our project of putting our old pictures & slides on the computer, listening to music, and just reminiscing as the project moves forward.

Today, we just want to share a couple of old photos we ran across, hope my kids don’t kill me for this one. Enjoy!

Voting for The President of The USA

Just couldn't resist!

In a Seattle Washington college classroom, they were discussing the qualifications to be President of the United States . It was pretty simple - the candidate must be a natural born citizen of at least 35 years of age.

However, one girl in the class immediately started in on how unfair was the requirement to be a natural born citizen. In short, her opinion was that this requirement prevented many capable individuals from becoming President. The class was taking it in and letting her rant, but everyone's jaw hit the floor when she wrapped up her argument by stating, 'What makes a natural born citizen any more qualified to lead this country than one born by C-section?'

Yep, these are the 18 year olds that just voted for the President of the United States!
