History/Economic Info

Having seen Priscilla's posting regarding cost for books for a college course, and my comment on what my tuition was for college, we were reminded of an invoice which we have in our possession. And, in light of a new baby in the family, just thought we would share it with you. Probably no further comment is needed, enjoy!

Ok...can we say affordable health care!!! Ok, I know, back those days, $126 was a whole lot of money. :-) ...and a comment about the 8/10 thought for the week...hope that's not a personal observation!!

All I can say is "wow"! Although Rich is correct in the fact that it was a lot of money then, now you can't even get a couple of aspirin in the hospital for that.

Let's hope Mel doesn't look at the blog too soon. She's just starting to get hospital bills. So if babies were so affordable, why didn't you have more of them?

Thought about having another to even out the male/female, but was afraid of being out numbered. :-)
Just ask your dad (Joe).

LOL! Outnumbered!?!? I think dad would say it was a blessing to have so many women in his life. ;)

Did you ask your dad?

Nice. It's funny you posted this b/c we just found some old papers of Bart's grandma's the other day and it cost her $52.56 to have Bart's mom in the hospital 52(?) years ago.

When I was pregnant and had to have my blood drawn EVERY MONTH for my thyroid tests they were $479 a pop!

Females are so bad. They at least make good sisters and daughters and mothers and wives and ... should I say more.
